I have spent hours studying wildlife so that when I do get the opportunity to photograph them I know their habits and behavior. Along the central Florida Gulf Coast is an area referred to as the Forgotten Coast. It seems an appropriate when you spend time visiting or photographing the area. It is an area that moves at its own pace, as if time has forgotten it. This is a collection of photographs of one of my favorite places on the Forgotten Coast, Apalachicola and St. George Island.

Truly one of the most beautiful places in North America to visit, drive through and of course photograph is Banff and Jasper National Parks in Canada. I have taken many trips to hike and photograph in this picturesque area. The light that falls on the landscape is photographer's paradise. This is a collection of some of my favorite scenes in the land of turquoise lakes and snow covered peaks.

When I was 15 years old, I accompanied my father on a trip to the Grand Tetons. That trip was the single largest influence on my decision to become a nature photographer. I can't think of a single location that is more spectacular to view and photograph. I have made numerous trips over the past 30+ years to photograph and to lead workshops in the Grand Tetons. This is a collection of some of my favorite photographs of the Grand Tetons and the Yellowstone area.

The Great Smoky Mountains has been a favorite location of mine to hike and photograph over the past couple of decades. From Cades Cove to Clingman's Dome the wildlife, scenic and floral photography is abundant. This is a collection of some of my favorite photographs of one of the most visited National Park in the United States.

Landscapes have always been one of my favorite categories of photography because of my training as a painter. I view the landscape as graphic elements when positioned properly, enable me, the photographer, to share with the viewer a little part of the world as I see it.  | | Lensbaby
One way to lead the viewer through a frame is by the use of selective focus. Lensbaby lenses are designed to do just that. Lensbabies allow the photographer the opportunity to control not only the focal point but the out of focus area or "bokeh" in the photograph. These are some of my favorite Lensbaby photographs.

Close up photography was one of the earliest forms of photography that I practiced on a regular basis. Many times I did not have the time to visit the Smoky Mountains or some other grand landscape, so I took advantage of the area around my house. I view macro photography as nothing more than landscape photography on a small scale. These are some of my favorite close up photographs.

The rugged coast of Maine is so very unique and so very photogenic. I have traveled often to photograph Maine and Acadia National Park. Being the area of the United States that the sun strikes first, I think I have spent many an early morning photographing the sunlight warm the jagged rocks of the Acadian Coast. These are a collection of some of my favorite photographs of Maine and Acadia National Park.
